The blue baby wolf (oil painting on paper)

At first, happy Monday to you all! 

You have to know that some days ago I received the final "it's all ok!" from the publishing house for my first short comic about an episode of the life of the painter Angelika Kauffmann and so they paid me for my work and now I can wait in relax the date when the book will be published (around september). In that comic book there will be 15 different short comics made by 15 different artists and about the life of 15 different women artists of the past, really an interesting journey in the history of art!

Working on that comic I learned a lot of things about story telling, how to move my characters in a scenes, how to illustrate a story, etc and now that everything is done for that project, I can think about a new illustrated story created just by myself. 

I decided to work on a sort of tale based on the following idea: sometimes we think about someone as an enemy just because someone else said to us he/she is different or freaky or dangerous, but it's always a nice idea to know better every fact and people too before to say someone is our enemy. 

I'll use a baby wolf to explain this thought, because wolf is usually the enemy in the tales (and I think is right to teach to the little ones to pay attention to the dangerous things or people or animals, sure) and so I'll try to represent a different version of a tale, because danger could be everywhere, also behind a nice, common face. We tend to think about a wolf like a  "bad wolf", but for the most of the time a wolf is simple a wolf and, sometimes, the "bad wolf" wear a human mask.

Now I'm studying the main characters (in the pics you can see the first one, an oil painting on paper A6 size) and so, in the next days, you'll see some different wolves from me ^_^
