An old photo I took above Ithaca Falls one evening. The black ridge at the bottom of the photo is the edge of an old damn (the water flows around the right side which is broken). This area had an old gun factory for many years, and now the water at the bottom of the falls is contaminated with lead and other toxic chemicals.
Beautiful contrast between the strong turbulence of the water and the gentle rays of light filtering through the mist @solrasol. Such a shame that so many beautiful areas bare the scars of mankind's ignorance ~ Even if they are invisible to the eye.
