Alone together
A strange way to say,
that it is just us two
dark broke as dawn arrives.
On any other day,
it may never have been
light the broken survives.
In all the many ways
that I could ever speak
Alone together over lives.

This shot was taken on an evening late in the autumn on a hill that overlooked farm land. She changed into her white dress in the car and I was already in a suit. It was a rush to get shots before the quickly dying light and they were all shot from down low as I didn't have a tripod, just a gorillapod and a bluetooth connection from my phone for the shutter.
A day later we got married at the magistrates office in front of strangers and went out to dinner just the two of us. The next day we flew to Milan for our honeymoon, but before we left, we mailed one of these images to friends and family as an announcement. While far from perfect, not many people can say that they have selfies for wedding photos.
These were taken on a Olympus EM-1 with a 12-40 2.8 lens.

Is is actually quite an issue to make photos when sun in front. But it is nice possibility to get some flare and silhouettes.

I bet not many can, but that is good forward thinking and planning. Who knows maybe at the 10 th anniversary you can renew your vows and have a bigger ceremony with family and friends.
Might be a plan except by then, crypto would have come through and I would have bought all new friends and family ;D
We were going to invite a coupe friends and take them out to dinner but then the "if we invite them, those ones will get angry, if we..." started so, eloping was easier.
To have a wedding dinner alone together is a rare privilege these days... Congratulations!

I think it's a good thing you didn't have a tripod available and were basically forced into something like this as it's an awesome photo. I hope it's in a frame somewhere :)
I have a couple of them in a frame but not many. Hoping to make a book one day out of images from the last few years.
