"The exit door leads in", the title to this motion-art piece is inspired by the writings of Philip K. Dick ( 1928-1982).

This american science fiction writer made an impression on all those that liked to read about the strange world of identity, reality and transcendental experiences.
His many novels and short stories relate to the nature of reality and among many other things talk about the construction of identity, alternate universes and spies that are spying after themselves.
You might have heard about "Blade Runner", a film based on his works, "Minory Report" and others...

A great writer, kind of Shakespeare of Science Fiction, and once that you opened one of his books, you will go on reading, reading, reading...

Masterful animation. I loved every little detail of it:) Also i am very happy because we share a common love for PK Dick:) He is one of my favourite writers, the reincarnation of Timothy Archer a masterpiece also the Divine Invasion and the original Electric Sheep which made me very sad to see it discarded at the new Blade runner movie. It was a book full of so many ideas and they did not expanded any of it.

Great...so we just found something else that we share!
I didn't even watch 2nd BladeRunner, knowing it would only be a disappointment

...looking at it today I figured that it looks like an anticipation to the Notre Dame fire

Yes it was, great visuals but meaningless story. I was really hoping that they would do the part of the book where Deker gets trapped in part of the city where reblicas think that they are human as a collective. It was a good basis for a movie 😊

Wow I love the smoke from her mouth, looks so cool. It's a creative highlight on the whole impressive artwork.

It is shocking to see the animation on the big screen! It looks great! I think something like that would be to see the chaos inside a person's head.

...kind of music for your eyes.

Beautiful piece, @whornung :D I love how strange and creative you are, placing the doublet as a helmet gives her head such a striking and elongated shape <3 ... I really like the fire coming out from between the cracks, it gives the picture a sense of inevitable inferno, and the contrast between the heat off the flames and the monochrome face is excellent !

I love PK Dick :D His writings are very fascinating and he really was a bit ahead of his times, in many ways :D Not surprised that many of his stories have been turned into motion pictures, to be sure :)

I've seen most of his adapted movies, I think, including of course, Blade Runner, Minority Report, The Adjustment Bureau, Total Recall, Next, and A Scanner Darkly. They are very interesting and thoughtful ideas :D

If you haven't seen A Scanner Darkly, I'd recommend it for viewing~ It's wonderful, and it has a very appealing aesthetics, too :)

You should read the book also dear spider, you would love it 😊

It is impossible not to see that work for several minutes, every detail that has been carefully placed in the piece is simply incredible, I was very impressed. Science fiction is a subject that I enjoy very much and I am totally amazed to see his work because it takes me to a totally fantastic world.
The fact that he has done it in movement with that fire and smoke makes the work much more interesting.
Thanks for showing this great animation!.
