HI EVERYONE!

Times have changed, we've known the transaction model for buying and selling from barter system, then using gold and until now we have used fiat currency.

Until now, we already know one type of new currency, namely cryptocurrency. The currency is produced cryptographically (formless) and can be used digitally for new model financial transactions.

But, did you know that in the time of the kingdom Pasai Kingdom, a currency that has a high price has been printed, it began in the 12th century AD.

Currently, this gold currency is not used anymore, because it has been replaced with fiat currency from Indonesia, namely Rupiah (Rp). This coin is named "Dirham" and printed in various sizes. Each size has a different price when we use it to transact.

• I saved a picture of these coins from a friend. He is an antique currency collector who is now working for @mapesa.

As you can see in this picture, there are several types of dirhams including a wallet made of silver to store the gold coins.

• The diameter of this dirham is not large, but less than 1 inch only. But if you look at the material, then we will be amazed, because it is a golden piece that weighs 2 grams.

Still traded in the gold shop.

Among the many remaining dirhams, I deeply regret one thing, that is, when these currencies are still traded freely in gold shops and by people who are less concerned about the value of history.

I found this in one of the gold shops in North Aceh. I saw this collection of gold dirhams on display in a glass cabinet along with other gold jewelry.
