At the bottom of the trench the water column above exerts a pressure of 15,750 psi, more than 1,000 times the standard atmospheric pressure at sea level.

Xenophyophores are multinucleate unicellular organisms found on the ocean floor throughout the world's oceans, at depths of 500 to 10,600 meters. They are a kind of foraminiferan that extract minerals from their surroundings and use them to form an exoskeleton known as a test.

They were first described by Henry Bowman Brady in 1883. They are abundant on abyssal plains, and in some regions are the dominant species. Fourteen genera and approximately 60 species have been described, varying widely in size

Well that took an interesting turn. I thought you were going to tell us that there's a tidal wave on the way, or some sort of mystery around the seismic activity, but we learned about xenophyophores instead.
I like a surprise twist :)

Looking at the stats it looks like normal seismic activity... which I'm grateful for. Being so deep I don't see how it could cause a major Tsunami wave, then again I'm no expert. Interesting post
