The Fallacy Of The Positive Impact From Falling Oil Prices

Many believe that Americans are better off with oil prices falling. President Trump is part of this crowd.

The only problem with this outlook is that people are not truly better off. Economists determine that falling oil prices end up being a wash.

While it is true people save money at the gas pump and, perhaps, grocery aisle, they end up spending it elsewhere. Thus, from an ecomic standpoint, the end game is the same.
