One Photo Every Day: 234/365, Reflections among buildings, เงาสะท้อนระหว่างตึก, the OPED project.

Mind bending reflections among buildings in Bangkok.

From now on I would not complain about having to drive up so many levels in a parking lot! It seems the higher the better the view from the parking building! So, there was a hidden purpose for making me searching for a parking space on higher levels. This was a blessing in disguise. I casually walked along the far side of the parking area only to be surprised by this amazing vista in front of me! The reflections of several buildings on the glass panels of next building were mind bending for me!

It was as if my sense of reality was turned upside down and shredded into pieces! So, matter is immaterial and can be dissolved. What I could see as reality may be in fact just bits and pieces of my memories similar to these reflections held together as a whole by my attachment to the concept of time and continuity. What if one day all my memories got shattered into discontinued pieces like these reflections! How could I hold onto my life and reality? These buildings and their reflections have taught me a great lesson: I should be aware of my attachment to what I know as reality and there is no permanence in my sense of security. Have no fear and live life fully each day! At least a small piece of my memory would be a nice one without the broken lines shown on those glass panels.

ต่อไปนี้เราจะไม่บ่นเรื่องการหาที่จอดรถบนอาคารสูง เพราะเมื่อต้องไต่ขึ้นไปหลายชั้น วิวจากที่สูงยิ่งแปลกเราหาที่จอดรถได้เกือบชั้นสูงสุดของตึกนี้ เราจึงเดินไปที่ริมทางเพื่อดูวิวข้างล่าง แต่กลับต้องประหลาดใจกับสิ่งที่เห็นอยู่ข้างหน้า เงาสะท้อนที่กระจกของอาคารข้างหน้าทำให้สมองของเราเหมือนถูกจับควํ่าลงและตีลังกาสามรอบ เงาสะท้อนของหลายอาคารบนกระจกแก้วไม่เหมือนกับสิ่งที่เราเห็น

สมองจึงคิดได้ว่า ถ้าทุกสิ่งที่เราเห็นและเชื่อว่าเป็นความจริงนั้น ถ้ามองในมุมกลับทุกอย่างอาจไม่ได้เป็นอย่างที่เราคิดและเชื่อเลย สิ่งที่เรารู้เป็นเพียงความทรงจำต่างๆที่เอามายึดถือเป็นความจริงที่มีความต่อเนื่องไม่มีที่สิ้นสุด ถ้าการยึดติดเรื่องเวลาถูกทำลายลง. ความหมายของชีวิตจะคงอยู่ได้หรือ หากความทรงจำถูกทำลายให้เป็นชิ้นเล็กๆเหมือนเงาสะท้อนบนกระจก. ความเป็นตัวตนของเราจะอยู่ที่ใด วันนี้เราโดนภาพสะท้อนของตัวตึก หรืออาคารบนกระจกสอนให้มีความรู้เท่าทันการยึดติดกับความคิดและความจริงที่เราเชื่อว่าเป็นสิ่งที่ไม่ยั่งยืนแน่นอน ฉะนั้นสิ่งที่เราทำได้คือพยายามใช้ชีวิตให้ดีที่สุดในแต่ละวัน เพื่อที่ว่าเงาสะท้อนของชีวิตในแต่ละวันจะเป็นเงาสะท้อนที่สวยงามแม้ว่าจะเป็นเงาสะท้อนเพียงบานเล็กๆของกระจก
