Before you go, you feel you have to ask the guard where Bob is.
The guard shuffles on his feet for a bit, caught between his displeasure between keeping you around any longer, and his fear that you might retaliate against him again. He finally gives in and, while maintaining eye contact with the snowy earth below his feet, he sheepishly answers:
"Bob, uh... He went to go investigate some things that have been bothering us..."Giving a quick glance up towards you, he realizes this won't suffice, and begrudgingly gives up more information:
"Bob went to go speak to a witch that we encountered earlier on our patrol. We-... I told him to go find out what that arrow and note meant, and confirm, or disprove, some of the men's suspicions..."
