He is known for his comedy and dramatic roles and has been part of movies like A League of Their Own, Forrest Gump, Saving Private Ryan, Cast Away, You've Got Mail, Captain Phillips, Sleepless in Seattle, Apollo 13, Catch Me If You Can, Bridge of Spies.

His films have grossed over $4.5 billion in US and Canada alone and more than $9 billion worldwide.

He has won 2 Academy Awards(in consecutive years, only second person to do so), 4 Golden Globe Awards, 8 Primetime Emmy Awards, 2 Screen Actors Guild Awards.

For his contributions to movies, he has received Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2016 and Legion of Honour from France government in the same year.

2. Ben Roy Mottelson

Ben Roy Mottelson is a Danish nuclear physicist who has worked on geometry of atomic nuclei.

He worked as professor at Nordic Institute of Theoretical Physics and University of California.

He worked closely with Aage Bohr to study the comparison between theoretical models and experimental data of about nuclei.

For their work to confirm theoretical assumptions with experimental results on nuclei, Mottleson along with Bohr and Rainwater were honoured with Nobel Prize in Physics in 1975.

He is also a winner of Atoms For Peace Award in 1969.

3. Guru Dutt

Guru Dutt was an Indian actor, director and producer who is regarded as one of the best actors and directors.

His movies as an actor include Suhagan, Sahib Bibi aur Ghulam, Chaudhvin Ka Chand, Kaagaz Ke Phool, Pyaasa, Baaz.

And his movies as a director are Baazi, Sailaab, Mr & Mrs. '55, Kaagaz Ke Phool, Pyaasa.

He has been one among the Top 25 Asian Actors of all time announced by CNN and his movies Pyaasa and Kaagaz Ke Phool are among the Greatest Films of all time.

4. Courtney Love

Courtney Love is an American singer , songwriter and actress who has been part of the punk and grunge scenes of 1990's and has a career as an artist for over 4 decades.

She worked with rockband Hole and has released 4 studio albums with Hole.

As a solo artist, she has released a studio album America's Sweetheart.

Her movies include Straight to Hell, Pretty on the Inside, The People vs. Larry Flynt.

She has received a Golden Globe nomination for movie The People vs. Larry Flynt and has 4 nominations to Grammy Awards.

5. K. Balachander

K. Balachander was an Indian filmmaker and playwright who mainly worked in South Indian language Tamil.

He was known for his unconventional themes and his films always showed women as bold personalities.

His first directorial movie was in 1965 with movie Neerkumizi and after than he made films for over 50 years and has given some of the biggest hits the Tamil film industry has seen.

His directorial movies include Neela Vanam, Bhale Kodallu, Naan Avanillai, Apoorva Raagangal, Moondru Mudichu, Ek Duje Ke Liye, Benkiyalli Aralida Hoovu.

He was honoured with Padma Shri India's fourth highest civilian honour, Dada Saheb Phalke Award the highest Indian film honour.

He was also a winner of 8 National Film Awards, 11 Filmfare Awards and another Filmfare Award for Lifetime Achievement, 4 Nandi Awards from Andhra Pradesh state, Kalaimamani award from Tamil Nadu state.
