1. Lauren Bacall

Lauren Bacall was an American actress known for her looks and authoritative voice.

She was among one of the Twenty greatest female stars of Hollywood Cinema as named by American Film Institute.

She started her acting career with 1944 movie To Have and Have Not and went on to act in movies like The Big Sleep, How to Marry a Millionaire, The Shootist, Woman of the Year, The Mirror Has Two Faces, Designing Woman.

She also wrote 3 books viz. Lauren Bacall by Myself, Now and By Myself and Then Some.

She was winner of an Honorary Academy Award for her contributions to Hollywood Cinema, 2 Tony Awards, a National Book Award, 2 Golden Globe Awards, an Honorary César Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award.

2. Lee Kuan Yew

Lee Kuan Yew was the first Prime Minister of Singapore and is known as Founding Father of Singapore.

He was the Prime Minister of Singapore for over 3 decades, in office from 1959 to 1990.

He was instrumental in formation of Malaysia as well and the difference in ideologies and racial strife led to separation from Malaysia to form a sovereign city state after 2 years of formation of Malaysia and that became Singapore in 1965.

He was honoured with the Freedom of the City of London, Order of the Rising Sun, Order of the Companions of Honour, Woodrow Wilson Award for Public Service.

3. Rosemary Casals

Rosemary Casals is an American former tennis player who is a winner of 12 grand slam titles.

She won more than 90 titles including the 12 grand slams and 3 tour finals, 7 Fed Cup wins and 7 Wightman Cups during her 2 decade career.

She won 5 Wimbledon doubles championships, 4 US Open doubles titles, 2 Wimbledon mixed doubles titles and an US Open mixed doubles titles besides being winner of 3 year end tour finals doubles titles.

She was known as a rebel in tennis world because of her fights for equal rights to men and women including equal prize money.

She was also the force behind World Team Tennis involving 2 women and 4 men from different cities in US.

She was inducted into International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1996.

4. Albert Szent-Györgyi

Albert Szent-Györgyi was a Hungarian biochemist who was the first to isolate vitamin C and also the discoverer of components and reactions of citric acid cycle.

He was part of Hungarian military force during World War II and was part of Hungarian politics post world war II.

He won a Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1937 for discoveries related to vitamin C and the catalysis of fumaric acid.

He was a member of National Academy of Science and won Lasker Award along with his Nobel Prize.

5. Andrée Brunet

Andrée Brunet was a French figure skater and together with her husband, she won 3 Olympics medals across 1924, 1928 and 1932 Olympics.

She mainly participated in figure skating and was even part of singles as well.

She won 2 gold medals and a bronze medal in pairs in Olympics and won 5 gold medals in pairs in World Championships and a gold in European championships.

She was inducted into World Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 1976.
