Steemit Open Mic Rolls Out New Changes To The Rewards For Winning Entries
Starting tomorrow Steemit Open Mic Week 63 will reflect a change in the rewards for those entering Steemit Open Mic. This may be the first you have heard about these proposed changes if you missed the post We Are Thinking Of Making Some Changes To The Rewards For Steemit Open Mic --- by @luzcypher
With 80-100 entries per week and growing and @pfunk and I still putting 300 Steem weekly into the pot, we want to spread the love a little more to those entering the contest. With that aim, we are rewarding 5 players instead of the previous 3. The pot will remain the same, unless, of course, anyone wants to add to it.
The rewards beginning week 63 will be as follows:
We thought this would encourage more people to enter and share in the rewards, helping more people. We hope you agree with us that this change will attract more musicians to share their music with us and for Steemit Open Mic to support more musicians.

More winners is a great idea.
We did the same some weeks ago at the steemit #BeerSaturday challenge where we have as well 5 winners and evens sometimes 6 whenever a friendly sponsor stops by with some extra rewards.

steemit open mike, that sounds like a really cool and new idea, I can definitely see steemit changing the world of music and also changing the world in general!
