Hi - nice tune. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the performances for openmic should be from the week of the contest. At least that's my humble take on the spirit of the concept.

Isn't it week 127, starting today?

I may have made an improper observation (I noticed it last week too), but I meant that I think that the music recording should be made during the week for the week of the contest (new material). It seemed the performances were from a previous gig/performance with current headers in front. Maybe I'm wrong, but I felt the need to mention. Strictly trying to help here. It's all up to you.

Nah it's okay. Yeah, I recorded this a few weeks ago...but but a current header on in as you said. Is that against the open mic rules? I want to abide. :) If so, I'll stop.

I've submitted entries in the past and know some judges, but am not a judge myself to know 100% sure either way. It's more about the spirit of sharing the music, although it might be slightly better judged if it was recorded for the contest. No crimes committed, just something to consider going forward that may get more traction.

Now I haven’t a ukelele for a good amount of time nor was I expecting one to be here. So certainly standing out in one aspect. The singing maybe keep be a bit more low pitched or less high pitched, since the voice was being interrupted by the ukelele that had a similar pitch but more beat than the voice. Otherwise I could hear and appreciate the singing (even if I don’t understand the language sung at all, but that’s not a negative per se; I’ll leave it up to the people who can speak it to judge if the pronounciation is correct and the inflection used was right). To get to the chunks of instruments only, felt very nice, very home-y, tad Southern (maybe just my association with ukeleles) and definitely nice to hear. Definitely the audio was perfect for the instruments (and singing as well). So yeah, good entry over all.

Thanks for the feedback. The instrument is a mandola...slightly larger than a mandolin. Yeah, the mix isn't perfect. :)
