A pesar de que la composición aparece escrita por la dupla Lennon- McCartney, no quedan dudas de que este último fue quien escribió está hermosa balada en su totalidad.
Es un tema muy melancólico y triste, y que evoca cierta región de Escocia donde su autor solía retirarse con frecuencia a escribir música, su ejecución representa un reto para tratar de que solo la melodía describa los sentimientos que intenta expresar la composición original.
