The weekend is the time to kick back and relax. A week of work can grind you down pretty hard and just about anything is better than sitting in front of the desk, completing trivial mundane tasks sufficiently well so as not to get fired. Excuse my bluntness but I think that's just the reality of work these days.

As much as we like to tell ourselves that we love our work etc. Would most people do this work if they weren't paid? Probably not. It's just finding the right balance between working and living.
