Reality Talk
You need to let go. Some pains are so hard to forget and rightly so but time they say could soften the pain and make it a bit bearable for you to move on. Pain is real.
Often times, many people would say "I understand what you are going through" but the truth is, they can never understand what you are going through until they have entered your shoes and walked the miles that you have walked. They might relate to it based on what they have heard or seen around, but they can't understand how you feel deep down.
I am not here to tell you not to ache or feel hurt, in fact, you can shed tears because those things make you human. Never try to stop being one but in your humanity is also your strength. Often times we focus on our human tendencies that we forget to leverage on our strength. Never let go of that strength.
The more you talk about it, the more you think about it, the farther from it you go. Stop talking sometimes, stop thinking sometimes and there is nothing you won't understand. Stop holding on too much to your pains. Stop allowing your pain to dictate how you feel, to tell you who you should be and thereby robbing you of the quality life that you deserve.
Your life shouldn't be defined by those who left or what left but by those who stayed and what stayed.
