This beautiful animal is the national bird of the United States and a symbol of freedom for many of its citizens; therefore, it is also known as American eagle. I have always been impressed by its majesty so I am not surprised that it is admired and taken as a symbol. Live near lakes, rivers, coasts, tundra and wet meadows as well as forests and mountains. Choose areas that have available food and trees of great height but yes, avoid any place that has signs of human activity or is close to large cities.

• Este hermoso animal es el ave nacional de Estados Unidos y símbolo de la libertad para muchos de sus ciudadanos; por eso, se le conoce también como águila americana. Siempre me ha impresionado su magestuosidad por eso no me sorprende que sea admirada y tomada como simbolo. Vive cerca de los lagos, ríos, costas, tundras y praderas húmedas así como en bosques y montañas. Escoge zonas que tengan alimento disponible y árboles de gran altura pero eso sí, evita cualquier lugar que tenga indicios de actividad humana o sea cercano a grandes ciudades.
