Steem Monsters and Other Updates - 12/Aug

Hi Friends,

Another new week and another new day as it's a Monday and here I am with my daily blog with updates on Steem Monsters quests, rain updates in India and Cricket matches between India and West Indies and Australia and England.

Steem Monsters:

I had got to battle it out today with Earth Splinter as part of Daily Quest and I had rather easy battles with usage of ENCHANTED PIXIE, I get an additional attack on my attacking cards and that made it a bit easy with FLESH GOLEM having an attack of 4 in one hit.

So, I could win the battles without much difficulty and here are the cards I got as part of quest completion:

After a long time, I got an EPIC and a Rare card in a single quest card pack.

As you can see, there is an Epic DIVINE SORCERESS and a Rare PRISMATIC ENERGY.

If you check the other cards, all of them are with hi MANA and part of some high profile cards even-though those are not Rare or better ones.

Couple of RUSTY ANDROID, a SEA MONSTER, an GOBLIN MECH, a UNDEAD MONOTAUR and a EXPLODING DWARF.

All in all, a satisfactory one in long time.

Booster Packs:

I brought few more beta booster packs with cards as below:

These also had an Epic card in JARLAX THE UNDEAD and couple of Rare cards in CEREBERUS and ENCHANTED PIXIE.

Other cards except ANIMATED CORPSE are being used by me regularly, so no hard feelings much and should help me to upgrade atleast some of them in near future.

Rain Update in India:

Rain in southern part of India has got reduced for the second day on trot and that should be a big sigh for the people.

More than 160 people are dead in state of Maharashtra alone with Kerala reporting a death casualty of 79.

Karnataka state is another one which is hit by rain especially north Karnataka, but the reduction in rain should help people start relief and rehabilitation activities now.

The weather report has still some warnings of rain over South Indian states.

Cricket Updates:

India vs West Indies - 2^nd ODI:

West Indies bundled out for 210 runs chasing India's score of 280 for a win with only Evin Lewis and Nocolas Pooran showing some resistance.

India's score was due to yet another century by Captain Virat Kohli with a score of 120 and his partnership with Shreyas Iyer who scored 71 runs and showed he could be a solution to India's number 4 issues.

Couple of records to highlight here are Universal Boss Chris Gayle going past the great Brian Lara as the leading ODI run scorer for West Indies.

Virat Kohli, in the mean time went past another great Sourav Ganguly in all time leading run scorers for India in ODI and now, only Sachin Tendulkar is above him.
