As you might know we have been joined a few weeks ago in our household by @milu-the-dog. Now even though this dog is very cute and lovable she does not always have full bladder control yet.
Milu is now 16 weeks old and she is getting better but accidents still happen.

Here is the secret to getting the pee smell out of the carpets:

step1 Vinegar and water.

• Take a spray that is either new or was used from cleaner or soap and fill it with half warm water and half white vinegar.
• Spray this mix on the general spot on the carpet (spray from about 15cm) where the smell is coming from until it is good and soaked.
• Let it soak in for 15 minutes
• The mixture will work on dry or wet spots

Step 2

Take a sponge, old cloth or paper towels to dip the moisture from the spot we sprayed with the vinegar mix.
I used paper towels and an old dry cloth in this case. (the paper towels actually being the least green)

TIP:
DO NOT rub the cloth/towel back and forth, just dip, otherwise the urine and vinegar will only be rubbed in deeper in the carpet.

Step 3

Sprinkle Soda powder on the stain/ wet spot and push it in the carpet a bit with the cloth you used before.
Then leave that to sit for a while until completely dry.
The baking soda will come back up to the surface and you can just vacuum it up. Normally the stain and the smell will be gone...
