The world is full of problems. Nowhere is absolutely safe. Everywhere you look, there are local or global issues affecting them. In some countries - especially developing countries - poverty is a real issue. Some people live on less than a dollar a day. In other places, fighting has been going on. People are displaced from their countries as a result of endless wars and violence. Now when you hear of people crossing the sea in a canoe, it is because they do not want to be killed by bombs and bullets. In some other places, natural disasters are ravaging the area. You do hear of floods, landslides, earthquakes and other environmental issues. Global warming is - really a global problem. Hot places are getting hotter and ice is melting. If we go on to list all the challenges the world has to struggle with, time will fail us. Its a sad reality. So I want to get your view on this subject. Assuming you had the power to solve 2 of the worlds pressing problems, which would you solve first. Here is mine:

Economic inequality

Yes, I would quickly tackle this challenge. Its not as if the world cannot sustain life with the resources we have, its just that it is unevely distributed. The rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer. Few individuals control the worlds wealth and they cannot finish the amount of money they have - even their unborn generations to come. Yet, billions of people to day go to bed hungry because they could not afford dinner. It is such a pitiful situation and it is beyond our power now to spread the world's resources evenly. It really touches me to see poverty ravage one side of a street while the other side of the same street lives in opulence.

So if I was given the power to change one of the worlds problem, I would quickly make such that everyone has an equal share of what they need to live a comfortable life. I would make sure that noone oppresses another because the have wealth. The issue of economic inequality even has far-reaching implications beyond food. Today, justice is for sale in most places. Only the rich could afford it. They pay their way through the system and have their way. The poor is often ignored. If all of us have equal resources, then no one would be bigger than the other. And noone would claim any kind of financial superiority over another person. I earn to see our world like that.
