It seems long gone

When reaching back in Switzerland earlier in the week summer seems long gone, here as well as in Holland where I have just came from. All Spring time we are looking forward to the Summer and now when it actually seems to end, this leaves the brain to wonder where we will head next.

From the last 6 weeks I have been on the road like a month or so. From the last 2 months of working I have worked 6 weeks of nightshifts. I guess I am miles away from having what others consider a normal job with a normal life. But in reality, most people that we come across on the blockchain have a slightly out of the ordinary life or what others consider as normal. I find myself very normal actually ;)

But reality is when I think about other Summers when they were at its ending this is always something that happens. You have the time to reflect on how your year was, you realize how good it is to have flexibility, and you despise the fact that Autumn is comes and that is the most boring and demotivating season of the year. When the leaves are falling it always feels like my motivation falls with that. I think is the main reason why I decided years back to move to the Caribbean. Because there is not autumn there (not fully realizing that some other stormy situations might be heading your way, but that is a minor detail in this one)

This Summer isn't any different. The fun stuff is dying out now and it is time to think again what the direction of this next year will be, and the conclusion is again that change is coming. We got older, we think different about stuff over the years and that is when we take new steps (and maybe this is the same reason why it is so hard for for instance teenage lovers to stay together over the years. Interests in life evolve, and this evolving doesn't have to be the same for two people the whole time). Taking new steps in my case will most likely be throwing my whole life upside down again, but hey...it never hurts to try right ;)
