Testing out Palnet.io
This is the beginning.

All the nitty gritty can be found in the post above, but to summarize. Palnet.io is a Steemit like frontend with it's own token that was launched on the Steem Engine platform.
This sort of thing has been the vision of Steem since Steemit announced SMT's years ago and it's what created a lot of the hype about Steem. The following failure to deliver this feature has been the cause of a lot of the disappointment on Steem.
What SMT's would allow anyone to do is launch their own Steem like token that could be distributed through POB(Proof of Brain ie upvotes), and have custom parameters that could be tailored to your own community or application. Then be tradable on an open market further increasing the potential, network, and ecosystem of Steem.
Where Steemit so far failed to realize this vision @aggroed and team have stepped up to the plate and are making it happen. Palnet.io is an example of this in action.
