What this Baal Shem Tov said is probably all true. But seeing the ugly, the blemishes, in others can help getting to the roots of ourselves. As humans, I think we are all blessed with the universal beauty of life itself, yet at the same time we are all victims to the struggle that we're provided with to constantly evolve.
Anyway... You're a fine man. I don't know you at all, but I'll get in a group hug with a tree and your old hippie self any day.
Watched the first Joe Rogan podcast in ages, last week, when he had Dr. Cornel West on as a guest. Dr. West made an interesting observation that there is nowhere in the bible that describes Jesus as laughing. Even smiling for that matter; although he conceded that he may of had a smirk on his face after the water to wine incident. Don't think anyone has ever referred to him as Cranky Jesus... other than that time with the merchants at the temple. 😎
