Hanging In Here
Well, the technology travails continue to transpire. It seems that in our last storm that a power surge broke more than we previously realized. We're getting it fixed, but it's taking time. That means life without internet. It's livable, but it's a very different world.
Remember those shiny discs that people used to put in metals boxes in order to watch movies? They were called DVDs and not many people have them anymore since everything can be purchased on your cloud account and then retrieved remotely. Fortunately for us, we still have a blue-ray player and some DVDs around that we can watch. Take that, technology!
I'm at a friend's house for a bit so I can get online. It's nice having friends close. I'm really hoping that we're able to get things up and running soon. It's really strange not being plugged in.
I do hope that your power will soon be restored. It is amazing how we sometimes get to be complacent and take the modern conveniences we enjoy for granted. I remember a scene during a trip to a small barrio of third world country. The residents of that barrio have to manually pump for their day's water supply. Often times they make several trips back and forth their homes and the public water pump location. And we... we just turn on the faucet and viola! How blessed we are.
What a beautiful photo of butterflies. What amazing color of the wings! Creatures like those just makes one think of the boundless grandeur of the Creator!

I hope that they resolve the issue quickly. I still have DVD's and even some VCR tapes.
