Lantern School Celebration 2019 Pictures

This is just to showcase some of the creative works of a local kindergarten school here in my hometown. The students and parents are encouraged to team up to design and create a lantern for a festival. To make things more challenging, they were only supposed to use discarded materials or recyclable items.

During the presentation night, kids were all running around happily flaunting their mini lanterns. On the right of the top image, one can see a lantern made up from a used water bottle. Next to it is a lantern made up of a used egg crate.

On top here is a nice truck constructed from cardboard in the body area, an egg crate for the chassis and the wheels looks like a couple of bottle caps. This looks like a really happy truck.

Here is probably a dragon boat. There is great attention to detail here. Amazing work by the parents and kids, this piece of art is actually quite large in size. It has two tiers complete with LED lights all around its hull. It even has got its own occupants all dressed up colorfully.

Further down the table, this caught my attention. A snowman, complete with a top hat and scarf. A little snow on the bottom made from white cotton and two flags attached on each side. When the lights go out, this snowman really glows inside out.

Looking forward to next years lantern display, there are just too many ideas that the parents and students can come up with. Some of them are really amazing and really pushes my creativity button.
