I have encountered quite a handful of accounts that happened to be here from the early days or milked numerous curation groups (e.g. steemstem and utopian) again and again to achieve their rep. Despite their huge love for STEEM and how awesome it is, for some weird reason they have decided to keep only a tiny fraction of their auth rewards for sp. :)

I keep using steemit because I want my stories in one place. I hope, nonetheless, the steem price and rewards increase in the future, by magic or whatever, I don't care.

There are shit loads of these accounts you talk about....quite a few of them are even considered professional 'steemit preachers'....pretty hilarious! Some of them have even moved on from 'preaching', only to engage in the same behaviour they once were outraged about LOL.

Well, i was also powered down because i intended to completely leave, but in the end stopped it.
Still don't like the way that works but can't ignore some interesting project's and that's why I'm still here (not that active anyways).

Well you don't fit the category i am talking about :P Probably half of the people I am voting atm are powering down, despite the fact that it makes zero monetary sense from my side (since i hodl) to vote them. But they don't go around preaching how steem is awesome and that people should buy now because in a couple of months steem will be back to gazilion dollars a piece.

Seriously, one of the things I hate on STEEM is the tribalism and almost cult-like devotion that someday the price is going to rise because MAGIC, and the people that sell this crap... This is why a lot of the steem users don't understand why the price is falling or why the price increases, most of them don't even understand the mechanics of STEEM or the market...

The price will rise once we build some businesses with cashflow around the ecosystem and get some actual cashflow to buy the token... So far the only progress I've seen is some add revenue, which I hope sooner or later will increase and make steemitinc buy the damn token from the market and reward ppl for their utilization... and some businesses like homesteader that sell stuff for STEEM and steemmonsters

I never used a bidbot to get my rep up, guess that is why it isn't a bigger number, I used steemstem though, but stopped after seeing that the trouble was too much, I might go back to it in the future...
