A New Community Front-End To Try.. PalCoin Launch
Hey Everyone,
This is pretty interesting and the beginning of a vision I've held for Steem for a long time. Communities and Tokens and a step away from one size fits all. The debate has been going on since the earliest days of Steem, what should be rewarded what should get visibility, who should earn and for what reasons. We never stop debating it.
A long time ago when SteemIt, Inc first started to talk about SMTs the idea of people being able to customize front-ends to suite their own needs has been a vision that made sense to me. The team at PALNET is launching their own Community Token and Site.
They have set up their own reward system refer to the link above for details. Users will potentially earn both Steem and Palcoin for posting on the new application which you can find here. https://www.palnet.io
The benefits of these tokens are a fresh reward pool that isn't diluted by whalestake, bidbots and delegation. They can set up their own community standards and rules, moderation, inflation, and whatever they want to do, that they think will benefit their community.
With this post I am testing their new frontend and wishing the PAL team success!

Just more reasons to be positive of the potential of the underlying protocol as it has the flexibility and capability to do this and expand beyond what one stakeholder can do!

Yeah, be careful though, I figured on their site I was voting with PAL, but it triggers a steem vote also.

I don't see much reason to hold steem at this point. The distribution will never get worked out.
If steemit inc were the only lazy player I could live with that, but really what have any of them done?
hf21... Only a handful of witnesses bothered to communicate with the community at all.
Several of them told us they already had consensus. They keep taking their secret conversations more secret... why? How is that decentralized, how does that equal a win for me? It doesn't.
It is also still too expensive to buy in for influence.

Commenting via Palnet. Looks similiar to steemit. Although i tilt towards mobile apps like partiko i might be willing to give it a try.
It's a start. I've been interested in seeing community tokens for a long time.
Maybe one day people will finally understand @ned's vision.
If they do, it will no longer have anything to do with ned. He could have helped people to see the vision.
