Mountain Monday & Panorama #20 - Icelandic Mountain Hot Springs

This post doesn't so much show the mountains, but is an adventure into some mountains.
Iceland is known as the land of fire and ice. You can understand the ice of course, but if you are unfamiliar the fire comes from the thermal activity throughout the country. Volcanoes and hot springs scatter the land. One of the hot springs I visited is located up in the mountains and requires a hike to get to. It isn't too difficult of a hike and well worth it for the experience. It is mystifying as the steam from the hot stream running down the mountain covers the land. Looks like it was a rather misty morning walk. I have always loved seeing the steam rise off of the small creeks and bodies of water on cool mornings.
It looks like a real adventure to visit Iceland! The photos are great, I really like the bridge in the mist, that's fantastic!
