In the last several years, innovation in the gaming industry is extremely rare. Many developers are recycling familiar formulas without offering anything new. Parsec Frontiers might be that breath of fresh air that the market needs. Although the game is still in the development phase, here is why we believe that it will be amazing.

Storyline — A Fresh Start for the Humanity

The Earth has been destroyed. Fortunately, right about the time when that happened, people discovered interstellar travel. Some believe that it was desperation that forced the discovery, while others chose to think that God is behind it since he wants the humans to survive.

Either way, humankind is on its way to Milky Way. You will be exploring our galaxy and all its celestial bodies, including stars and planets. Your goal will be to discover habitable planets and start human communities. Scanning surfaces for resources and extracting them for crafting and trading will be a major part of your success. You also shouldn’t forget about the war factor. If you want to become one of the strongest players in the Milky Way, you will need to battle others to conquer new territories and defend the ones that you already have.

A Unique Combo of Gaming and Virtual Economy

Trading is the essential feature of the game. According to the backstory, humans don’t believe any official Interstellar Federations because they are aware how profitable trading across the galaxy can be. That is why they founded Parsec Credit, a currency that can’t be controlled by anyone except for its owner, ‘just like the cryptocurrencies that were popular in the 21st century.”

Let’s talk about the elephant in the room. Parsec Frontiers is far more than a simple game because it will offer in-game economy that will be completely player-driven. You will be using digital assets to buy and trade items and resources. That means you can earn money while playing! Of course, the focus would be on delivering the utmost gaming experience in colonizing the galaxy. And the fact that you can make some money along the way is just neat!

Jump into the Unknown

Everything begins lightly. That is to be expected since interstellar traveling is only starting to develop. You have the entire 3D map of the Milky Way galaxy at your disposal. Keep in mind that it can take a while to can get from point A to point B. And it is a vast space that needs to be explored. That means you need to make smart decisions and occasionally jump into the unknown and explore destinations where you don’t know what to expect.

However, as the time progresses, you will gather valuable information about the in-game space. The trick is that you don’t have to share that information with others. Just like in today’s world, Intel has great power in Parsec Frontiers. That is why you should always work on gathering as much info as you can and utilize everything you know properly.

Finding and Harvesting the Resources

Each planet, star, asteroid, and moon has at least some resources that can be collected. Once you find yourself on a celestial body, you should start a scan that will look for the desired resource on its surface. According to the information you get, you can choose to start mining that material.

Keep in mind that harvesting a resource can take a lot of time and money. Fortunately, you can improve your mining skills to collect more materials. But still, that doesn’t mean you should mine for everything you come across. The trick is to find the resources that you need the most. You can then utilize them to craft items or trade them immediately.

Do You Have the Right Recipe?

The first thing that you should find is a recipe for crafting an item. In some cases, just having the desired recipe and the required material is enough to craft something. However, if you want to build something that’s more complex than that, you will need factories or manufacturing plants.

In other words, there is a good chance you can get a better price for the item you are selling at another exchange. The general logic dictates that you can profit the most by selling a resource close to the planet where its habitats can’t harvest it. Think about your moves and you will be on the right path to becoming the master of trading.

Finally, let’s mention that combat will also be a part of Parsec Frontiers. However, that module will be added last which is why a “non-aggression” pact will be signed by all players until December 2019. That gives you enough time to learn all the tricks and prepare for galactic battles that will bring you further expansion and profit.
