Ulog #162: Chicken Wings at My Food Truck

Chicken wings, who doesn’t like them especially as a bar snack or just something to munch on while watching some TV.

Here’s my take on chicken wings. Pretty standard chicken wings and nothing too fancy. Mine differs that I boil it first in a rich and infused stock. This adds flavour and cooks the chicken all the way through.

In my stock it has chicken stock, sriracha which is a garlic and chilli sauce, black pepper, and salt. I cook it for about 10 minutes then let it cool.

Pat it dry then just before serving dunk it into a deep fryer for about 30 seconds to get the skin crisp.

I then coat it with a butter and garlic hot sauce that I make. Very simple. Just heat up some butter and some chopped garlic on low heat for 5-10 minutes. Make sure not to burn the garlic.

After that add your favourite hot sauce.

I’m thinking about adding some kimchi to the sauce this week since I’ve made some. I thunk it’s gonna be really a special kinda combination.
