Last of the onions are dry 😆
Well the last of the onions and shallot that have been drying in the greenhouse have been cleaned and moved into the house, the cold damp weather were having in the UK had caused a few to spoil so im glad this is done and i can get to making something tasty... these are all of the small ones that i put off sorting as there just a bit fiddly to peel and prep but a bit to big to use as seed onions/shallots
Ive got about a kilogram of shallots and a kilogram on onions in the bowl so im thinking with the bits i bought yesterday some chutney and freeze the rest for adding to meals
Any ideas?

It's a right laugh.
Those onions look great! I haven't grown anything more than a salad onion in my garden so far so it's cool to see some good sized onions and shallots growing. Shallots are one of my favourite onions to cook with actually so I might take inspiration from you and get some growing in my garden!
Oooh some caramelised onion chutney would be a perfect use for them. You could make a batch of french onion soup as well, it will keep those flu bugs at bay. Medicinal and simple to make, not to mention delicious! Hope to see some onion cooking posts in the future :)
One thing i never have luck with is salad onions for some reason, deffinatly give them a go, nice low maintainence and can be fit in around other plants if your short of space.
Great ideas on what to do with them ill deffinalty be doing those 🙂
