Daily Verse Study #4 Mark 16:16

in #partiko5 years ago (edited)

This verse is not quoted with the end part of the verse. They take it out of context and remove: "but he that believeth not shall damned."

So what damns us? Not believing or not being baptized. He clearly states that if we believe not we are damned.

Plus you have to go against 90 clear verses in John that says that by faith/belief we are saved. And John is a book that claims to be written to get you saved.

In fact this verse does not at all say you should be baptized for salvation. Because you won't be damned. In the new testament you won't find any verse saying this. They can never produce one verse saying you won't be saved if you are not baptized.

Is it not true that a believing non baptized person will not be damned according to this verse? But he that believeth not shall be damned. But this person believes so damnation is disqualified right?

Now how can any person that believes in baptismal regeneration(baptism of babies) catholic, protestant and catholic. Say that you are not saved if you are not baptized. In fact it's so logical it seems like I am repeating myself over and over again.

There are too many verses that say by faith we are saved to list here. But please ask if you want me to list a few.

**Baptism is an outward sign like a wedding ring. It's so people can see publicly that you are saved. Not to get you saved. We are not saved by our works, but by Jesus work/sacrifice. **

Please Comment any hard verses you would like me to deal with. Verses that seems to say that we need to either repent of our sins or do any works to be saved. These include verses that seem to require obedience, baptism etc. Remember to follow and please leave like if you enjoyed!

Remember that Christ was the Exemplar for us in His mortal ministry. He travelled many miles to be baptized of John the Baptist. Not just any person, but by God's authorised servant. Jesus did not just go to his local Rabbi, but to John. God the Father pronounced his approval by speaking and the Holy Ghost descended in the sign of a dove and rested upon the Saviour. Once again we need to follow the example of Christ, rather than incorrect understanding of Paul's words. Paul was a highly educated man, whose understanding came from a lifetime of scholarship. When he was turned towards Christ on the road, he became infused with the Holy Ghost and was able to teach using his previous studies but now enlightened with eternal perspective and revelations.

All Paul's words are correct. The Bible says holy men spoke as they where moved by the holy ghost. So the Bible can't be in contradiction other wise its not God word.
