R3 To Build Blockchain Platform For SIX Digital Exchange On Corda Enterprise
SIX Digital Exchange (SDX)- owned by Swiss Stock Exchange Operator SIX Group- will build the blockchain platform for its digital asset trading, settlement and custody services on R3's Corda Enterprise, Coindesk reported.
According to Coindesk, SDX chose Corda Enterprise after a detailed evaluation process for several distributed ledger technology companies.
Commenting on the decision by SDX, Charley Cooper, a managing director at R3 said:
"The first thing that’s important is the fact that a mainstream influential financial market infrastructure player has decided to launch an exchange for digital assets and do it on blockchain technology."
Sven Roth, the chief digital officer at SDX, shared with Coindesk that the digital exchange is scheduled for launch in the second half of 2019.
