Wry asides in Rye
Rye is a stunning little town that used to be be a seaside town ! However a couple of years (or perhaps it was a couple of hundred) passed and then suddenly the sea was 3 km away.
Today the port is still operational and although the silt has pushed the land out into the sea, a sea passage remains.
However the town doesn't feel like a port town. It sits atop a hill in regal splendor.
