Talking about coffee, no doubt, Indonesia is arguably the paradise of world coffee. Not only one, even from the typical in each region, to the most expensive coffee can be found in the largest archipelago in the world. It's just that, not everyone understands that Indonesia has long been a coffee paradise. Even though it is not a heavy coffee lover, in Indonesia there are various types of coffee and in accordance with their respective provinces. Below are the types of coffee in Indonesia.

Lintong coffee

First there is Lintong coffee. Coming from North Sumatra, this coffee is a typical variant of Mandailing. The distinctive features of Lintong coffee are the acid levels that are not too strong, aka in the medium level. In addition, this coffee is included in Arabica coffee varieties. In North Sumatra, Lintong coffee can be categorized as the most expensive coffee, especially those that are specially cultivated and served as black coffee.

Toraja Coffee

If this one coffee could be the name is already quite famous, especially among coffee lovers. the name Toraja is taken from the name of the area where this coffee was cultivated, namely Toraja, Sulewasi Selatan. Besides being known as the most expensive coffee, especially in the United States and UK markets, this coffee also has a characteristic low acid content. Uniquely, Toraja coffee has a heavy weight compared to other types of Arabica coffee in general.

Gayo coffee

Aceh is not only famous for its coffee drinking culture, but provinces in the western tip of Indonesia are also famous for one of the most expensive coffee variants in the world. Especially if it's not Gayo coffee. Gayo coffee is generally of Arabica type which is planted in the highlands of Gayo, Central Aceh, with super careful processing. The aroma is so distinctive, with a strong bitter taste, but has a savory flavor with a fairly low level of acidity.

Kintamani Coffee

Not only known as a tourist paradise, Bali is also known as one of the most expensive coffee paradise in the world. Precisely in Kintamani, there is coffee with a similar name. Coffee that is cultivated organically with a typical Balinese Subak irrigation system has a fine texture, causing a soft sensation on the tongue. Another uniqueness, Kintamani coffee beans have a unique taste like Orange, but not heavy. This also makes coffee from the Arabica variant match the Japanese tongue.

Civet coffee

The name Luwak Coffee has been named as one of the most expensive coffee in the world. Most exhilarating, of course this coffee is an original variant of Indonesia. The uniqueness of civet coffee lies in the processing process. Civet will first eat coffee fruit, then the seeds that are not completely digested will be removed with feces. Civet coffee is also considered quality, because this mammal named Paradoxurus hermaphrodites only chooses 1-2 coffees that have been thoroughly cooked in each tree. The type of coffee can be Arabica or Robusta. But in general, civet coffee is processed into black coffee.

Luckily, the most expensive and typical coffee comes from Indonesia, so to enjoy it you don't need to go traveling to other parts of the world.
