My Thoughts on Raptors-Warriors Game 2
I’m a huge Raptors fan but I’ll try to be objective. The Raptors blew this game. They played a great first half but in the third quarter the Warriors went on one of their devastating runs. The Warriors began the third quarter on an 18-0 run. The Raptors tried to get back into the game after that but it was too little too late.
Kawhi Leonard had 34 points but mist of the other Raptors had below average performances. Lowry fouled out and Siakam had a mediocre game compared to game one.
The Warriors had major injury trouble but still managed a great team effort. Cousins looks healthy again and had a big game. Draymond had another excellent game. Steps seemed to be feeling ill in the first half but played better and better as the game progressed. The biggest issue was that Klay Thompson got a major hamstring injury in the 4th quarter. It is unknown how that will affect his status for game 3.
In short, the Raptors let the Warriors steal a game in Toronto. The Raptors must hit the many open shots that they missed and stay out of foul trouble in order to win this series. Things will only get more difficult in Oakland and will Durant possibly returning soon.
