Resting Area 休息区

in #partiko5 years ago (edited)

I remember driving in the USA high ways for long distance trip, and one of the places we love is the “welcome center”. This is much needed as it gives us a break time after a few hours of driving and staying inside the vehicle. And it can serve as a resting area for us as well. The center provides us with information about places we might be visiting.

Comparatively, when driving in Sabah, which is a developing state in Malaysia, the drivers and passengers may not come across “welcome center”. However, we do have places where we can stop by for a break. Along the way, we may see small hawker area selling the local products.

Among several hawker area, one of the places is Nabalu, where there are stalls selling different kinds of vegetables and handicrafts. It doesn’t have a welcome center, but the variety of products and the indigenous people do give us a glimpse of the cultural setting we are exploring.

We do need resting area from time to time during our journey. And it is helpful to learn finding rest though only temporary through diverse environments.
