The Sound of Life
A flush;
warm rain purrs on a tin roof,
A contented whimper from a newborn suckling breast.
A shift of leaves in wind tossed forests.
The sound of life risen careless with ease.
A drift of hooves pass through brush
and bovine grazing on grasses lush.
A patter of birdfeet on high up roofs.
Chatters accompany a squirrel
and it's proof
that nature brings secrets in quiet relief.
Busy our lives pass over more treasures than keeps and somewhere a newborn emits her first cry, air fills new lungs as day meets the night.
A heart beats in answer to music, we know, nothing is static, we wait for tomorrow..
A wise ear bends to hear blessings untold.
