Update: 2500sp Delegation with Weekly Payments!

We have arranged a delegation of 2500sp at a rate and that includes terms that can't be found on the open market!

To give an idea of what this would all cost on the open market I've done a little homework. 2500sp from Blocktrades for 2500sp for 90 days we would pay 269.699 Steem or 20.97 Steem per week...but need it all up front. Ouch!

To get a lease filled on MinnowBooster right now is costing around 19% APR on 4 week leases and even at that price we had one not get filled a couple days ago.

To pay 19% for 2500sp for 4 weeks would be about 48 steem or 12 steem per week, but again we need the whole amount in a single payment. If we wanted to be able to do a weekly lease at 19% for 2500sp it would cost us 19 steem a week.

None of these are an option. We just don't generate enough liquid Steem even with donations and post rewards to cover these costs.

Luckily @bjgeese, my Brother Inlaw decided to invest more money into Steem and wants to put it to work. He is purely an investor, but is willing to take less then market rate to help out.

That said when I asked him if we could come up with a number that worked for him we came up with using an 18% ROI for the lease and then round down to an even payment amount...which ended up meaning a 17.5% ROI based on a 4 week lease. BUT we only have to make payments weekly. This is huge for our cash flow!

Just out of curiosity I did run what it would cost to pay a 17.5% ROI on a weekly lease and it would be 16 steem per week. Might be doable...maybe, but it would take a ton of donations.

A huge thanks to @bjgeese for helping out with this lease and agreeing to take 11 Steem per Week vs the higher amount he could be earning.

Going Forward

We have a lease of nearly 1000sp that expired 3 days ago, but hasn't been removed. This will go away the next time this person logs in I'm sure. So we will then be sitting at 6500sp. We will then have some other smaller leases expiring over the next couple week that will take us down into the high 5,000's. This is kind of the target that we'd like to stay at. To stay here we will need to keep renewing a few other leases, but think we will be able to afford to assuming that we keep getting the support everyone has been giving.

As we grow our owned SP we will lower our market leases and keep the one with BJ in place as it's much cheaper then the others. We might even be able to increase this lease when other leases expire based on timing of things. He has more SP available, but don't think we can afford it currently or I'd get us even more to tie it up before he locks in a different lease.
