A few weeks ago, we announced that the new Paywithsteemsite was in progress. The site has started its development after receiving just enough funds to begin its development. This was around 3 weeks ago and when you enter try to enter the site, it will look like this.

This is where you are able to subscribe to our newsletter to receive its latest updates and when the beta version would be launch. Fingers crossed it would be launched in July. Just last week, phase 1 of the website which is the draft outline of the whole site has been done and I figured what better way you directly let you guys know about this. Though, if you're already following @paywithsteem and have bumped into the teaser post on trending, you would've already seen some of the info and what I'm about to share with you guys.

# TEASER : OUR WEBSITE'S NEW LOOK + WE ARE GOING OPEN SOURCE!

Well, we definitely still have a long way to go in getting the site up and every support counts. I'm truly thankful that many of you have stuck by this project and is eagerly waiting for it to launch. I have friends come to me asking about it and all I can tell them is 'I'm hoping for the best'.

Phase 01 Updates

What you see here is the outline layout of the site and there will definitely be much changes left to be made in terms of outlook and functionality

The Landing Page

This will give you a rough idea of the workflow of the whole site as we plan to continue enhancing from here on out in terms of outlook and functionality. This landing page would feature products and recent tradelist in the PayWithSteem Marketplace. This will allow users to quickly enter the marketplace to hunt for products or to purchase STEEM with fiat.

List of Users

We're hoping to build a platform of traders that are reputable, credible and trustworthy. Hence, you will be able to view the users profile, successful trades, stats and reputation from highest rated users to least rated users. We aim to build a trustworthy platform so people can trade safely.

User Profile

The profile is still a work in progress but we're getting there. You will be able to see many more stats here when the beta is launched.

User Profile Stats

I always think that the best thing about the blockchain regardless whether it is the Steem blockchain or not, is the transparency. Hence, the User Profile Stats will show all Recent Active Trades and Closed Trades.

Import Wishlist

Definitely to start a Market Trade, someone would have to import their wishlist and a Market List would be open. This Market Order can be seen in the Market List and other traders can start trade with when conditions are met. To constantly have a Market List up, we would definitely need the supply and demand to be met and that is where you all come in. The support that we've gotten so far is Unbelievable and I'm truly grateful that many have come forth with encouraging words for the team. It really does mean a lot to us.

On that side note, an important announcement!

After listening to suggestions, @paywithsteem have decided to be an open-source platform. That means that everyone can look at basic structure of our platform. Truth be told, we have always wanted to contribute back to Steemit in some sort of way and help growth of a healthy ecosystem even if it means by a little.

A little progress is still progress

We hope that by going open-source that we will encourage other Steemians to build their initiative and startups. When the Steemit community is healthy, then the Steemit ecosystem and Steem blockchain will be healthy.

The team and I definitely would want to see this initiative launch smoothly in time to come and to be able to provide its sole purpose and service to the Steemit platform.

In case you haven't heard of our project, here you go.

We want to automate Paywithsteem and move away from Shopify's layout. This was made feasible by fundraising $10,000(@jerrybanfield provided the majority of that $10k so we will once again give a HUGE thank you! ) along with another $10,000 from @btcvenom's personal funds, the platform is still currently being developed.

Previously, our website operated like an e-commerce that accepts STEEM and SBD, but we have since then steered towards creating a peer-to-peer marketplace for Steemit users. This new platform enables the following features:

• Providing the Steemit community with a quick, secure, and hassle-free shopping experience with STEEM and SBD
• With no operations person in between, we are able to lower our fees of 20% to as low as 10%
• This also means no human error.
• With less operations work on our hand, we can focus on expanding regionally (beyond USA and UK)
