Saturday night walk
We took a walk at twilight to see our owl friends. They are next to impossible to photograph but here is a willing egret.
Also this hawk landed on a streetlight near us.
The egret again. We also saw a barn owl after it got darker. The great horned owls were about hooting away but only fleetingly saw one. The fields were full of deer. We counted 10 separate deer. Two nice bucks. A younger buck. A pair of fawns. And some does. Plus the usually rafter of turkeys that roosts a the same place every night. Very nice night here. Still and about 68F. Good night all.

Sweet. Yours is hunting in the water which I think is more typical. Mine was hunting in the grass. Great minds click alike haha

Beautiful bird photos! Owls are so elusive! You would think as big as they are that they would be really easy to find.
Thanks @melinda010100 We go looking for owls about every night lately. Or should I say go see the same owls every night. With a little patience, we almost always catch a glimpse of an owl or two. There are several grassy fields bordered by oak trees. Lots of mice and rabbits and even some skunks so of course owls :)
