Visualize World Peace - or how not to get there.

World peace is not a destination

It is not the end all, be all.
It is but one marker on the path of growing up.

World peace doesn't come about by some UN charter, or anything that govern-cement or bureaucracy can do.

Right now, people look out and see others not doing what they are supposed to do (whatever that is) and then getting a hurt feeling inside, and then running to daddy govern-cement to get those bad people to stop that.

  • You shouldn't drink sugary battery acid.
  • You should follow all the rules.
  • You need to keep your yard clean and tidy (so my property values do not go down)
  • You shouldn't smoke.
  • You should follow the one true religion.
  • You shouldn't vote for the other party.

What you complain about in others is what you wish you would heal within yourself.

Or, when you have healed this "thing" in yourself, it no longer hurts when you watch someone else make that mistake.

An example of such is the whole republicrats vs democrons debacle.
If you are one of them, you see the other side is doing all these bad things. Like a republicrat ignoring the feelings of people they walk over, while getting something done, but to the republicrat, they are just getting things done; every omelette begins with broken eggs.

But, when you start studying anarchy or libertarianism you see the left-right feud as quite laughable (well, if they weren't actually trying to start a civil war).

So, in the future, we will let people be people. Because we will recognize that hurt (which now turns to anger) that we see something as a reflection of inner work needing done.

As we, the planet, grows up and lives longer we will recognize... no, we will know, that war is a racket. That the only thing war brings is more war, more suffering, and everybody loses.

When the 13 families try again to get one side to attack another, the people will just say NO! Like someone who was asked to put their hand on a hot stove.

As more people learn to communicate and negotiate (amazing that it is not taught in school?) we will enter a time when win-win outcomes will be the minimum standard for an acceptable negotiation.

This entire idea of getting the better of the person you are negotiating with is on its face, stupid. You screw over someone and it will come back to bite you. You may be better off now, but you won't be able to get the same deal in the future.

A win-win agreement makes for both parties getting more. And that leads to more and more. When you fully realize that any non-win-win situation leads to less, you will just avoid them like the plague.

And thus, we get to world peace, not because we tried to make things peaceful, but because each of us learned to work on ourselves and become more tolerant of those around us. (This does not mean lying down and getting walked over, Self Defense will be easier and stricter.)

Yes! Nothing more to be said really, just Yes. (Oh and I love the whirled peas)

Thank you. And i worked hard on those whirled peas. (I really need to get better)

Your post made me think of this. Should be obvious but often isn't till someone tells you!

Tis very apropos.

And I hope the people who controlled and divided the people and more are brought to justice someday for thier contrived plans. I think that day is coming.

As long as there are those willing to live off of others work, we will have conflict. Until we require all able bodied people to work for their own support, while caring for those unable; we will have uncontrolled violence.

But I would love to have whirled peas, LOL! :) :D

This is one of those areas where... what you are saying seems to be correct, but actually contradicts itself.
And we won't realize that until we find a solution and then look back. 20/20 hindsight.

We should not force people to support others.
But, we also cannot deprive someone of the chances to support themselves.
Imagine a kid who has turned 18, and we say, go out and grow your own food, but not on our land, not with our water, not with out tools. Well, most people couldn't make it. And now, with every piece of land claimed and every bit of water claimed, we cannot simply say, go on kid, make something of yourself.

The conclusion will not be capitalist or socialist. It will not be something in between. It will be something much different.

We haven't had capitalism for a century. We are slowly dying from government intervention. Everything they touch dies.

The kids need not be thrown out, they simply need to find a way to earn enough to pay their own way. That way, they can respect themselves, because they are independent. If they want land, then they can go buy it. Mine did, and they all can.

What I was saying, is that when you allow a healthy worker, to do Nothing; you cause violence, in response to this violence.

Using the government to take from one, to give to another; is using the threat of violence from that government to basically stealing. We can not achieve any significant level of peace.
