We Need To Keep This Event Alive In The Minds Of The Youth

Milestones like the 75th anniversary of D-Day can really make the passage of time seem surreal. I remember the 50th anniversary of D-day when I was in grade school. I am now in the Canadian army and an grateful to all soldiers who sacrificed so much not only on D-Day but in all wars and conflicts.

Any soldier who is willing to fight and die for a cause bigger than themselves is brave and deserves respect. To know that the cause of Liberty was successful on that fateful day makes me so proud to be Canadian. Also the British and American troops who also landed on the beaches that day were equally brave.
