Cleaning my leaf catcher... Well, part of it

How to collect a metric crap ton of leaves

  1. Make a carport
  2. Make it a three car carport
  3. Make it close to a bunch of trees
  4. Leave it alone for a really long time

Check it:

I got about 8 feet from the edge here. Need to get around the rest. You can kinda tell where I cleaned the first time shortly after we moved in.

@brockolopolis, @elfmyselfandi, do y'all see a giant pile of leaves/wood chips here, or is it just me? It's mostly pine needles, but they've been up there a long time. In the spring, the stuff I pulled down was nice and damp and decomposing. After a week of 100°, there's no moisture left lol

What can I use this stuff for? I'm thinking of making a giant pile of leaves from around the whole yard and setting it in a corner. I need to step up my compost game.

Need some permaculture-y ideas, any thoughts?
