I haven't seen the second movie. Kids sure do have that creepy element in movies.
Saw was never anything that scared me. Just solve the puzzles and you survive. Chop off a leg or an arm to make it happen, meh, if you have to 😛
More gore than scary.... For me anyway 😁

30 days of nights I watched and got a bit of a spook. I actually enjoyed that movie. One they succeeded at making scary with vampires. I give that one a standing ovation! They did a great job. Let's watch it again!

Yeah, just chop off your own leg... Of course, nothing scary about that at all when you don't know if you're going to live anyway haha! The first one was good, second was OK then it did just turn into a gore fest I think. But the first was definitely the best as it had the tenseness, a plot and a twist at the end.

I'll never watch it again that's for sure haha. In fact when I went to look for images of the movie cover I got a shock seeing all the pictures of the vampires... They are damn scary haha

Jigsaw....
I've seen a lot of creepy movies during the last 20 years, but I think there was only one that really made me wonder: Am I watching this for pleasure, or is this too much? That was Saw VII. Jigsaw was long dead by then, but his legacy was too much for me to take, lol
Ooo yea Jigsaw is one but I did think of another from a conversation earlier with the Panel that jogged my memory and should have put in as well but I must have suppressed all these horror characters as they still scare me now lol!
By the way, these aren't going to be in the dpoll as I can't enter the contest being on the Panel so you can use Jigsaw if you wanted 😉
I think Jigsaw himself actually died in the 3rd one didn't he? Was it cancer that got him eventually? I watched 4 and it just didn't have the same feel to it... But still gory af lol!

I'm definitely an angel....with a dark side, hahaha! ;) Glad you didn't pass out from fear in writing this. At least you'll have another year before we make it around to the really creepy stuff again...perhaps. Saw was total gore and terror! I'm indecisive enough as it is, I couldn't imagine some of those choices. I don't think I ever saw Godsend, but there are plenty of other creepy kid movies (totally forgot the kids from Children of the Corn!) that make me glad I don't have any. Your last one was definitely worthy of a pick, as well. It's bad enough making it through one night of nightmares, let alone 30 of them. Whew, I might need to go watch some Disney...

My fitbit heart rate tracker was probably really confused as to why my heart rate went through the roof, particularly when I was searching 30 days of night 😭
I should be fully recovered in a year's time haha!

Great scary stuff, Nicky. I don’t like movies of gore and blood, like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Some of these stories are based on true facts of someone supposedly being possessed and going on a killing spree - but do they have to show all the gore in the telling?

All the movies of Saw are really something bizarre, I believe that I have not managed to see any of these complete, as soon as I see the desperation of the people I feel bad and I do not continue to see them hahahaha if I know, I am a cowardly witch!
I haven't seen the other two, but I can say that the horror movies that include children are twice as scary!
Hahaha yea I watched the first couple of Saw movies all the way through and the first is by far the best for novelty functions but it just turned gruesome after that! I would not want to see Jigsaw in any room haha!
Definitely children add another factor to horror movies... 😱

Last scary movie that I saw was the Exorcist, but that was a long time ago.
We don't watch movies, but these here seems to be a good selection.

Jigsaw! I completely forgot about Jigsaw! Great choice. I've never seen the movies, but love Cary Elwes, so the movie has to be good.
Haha yea man Jigsaw is one savage bloke! I saw the movies up to around IV but it got a little less thrilling and just more gore really.
I had to watch videos of clouds and cats doing funny things after writing this one so I didn't have nightmares haha
