This reminds me of tripping on Shrooms and how it takes you to another world .

Another world indeed. :)

I think about this stuff a lot. The Spell of the Sensuous, a book by David Abram, popped into my head when I was reading this. He explores the role of shamans in society, he sees them as being able to bring the messages of "the other worlds" back to everyone, so they are messengers. Abrams

delves into the philosophy of phenomenologists Edmund Husserl and Maurice Merleau-Ponty, who replaced the conventional view of a single, wholly determinable reality with a fluid picture of the mind/body as a participatory organism that reciprocally interacts with its surroundings.

Also, the term "controlled substance" comes to mind here.. which I am sure you know... but the pharma shit is controlled, and it controls.... because these addictive pills conveniently sell themselves. plus they keep us disconnected ... I've been saved by pharmaceuticals before too though so I am not knocking it either. I just feel passionate about this topic. I think of artists, creatives, weirdos of all sorts, anyone who is able to exist or commune outside the "mainstream" has this kind of role to play, communicating whats "invisible", sharing the broader scope, meaning, and fluidity of experience.

That's awesome, I'll have to check out that book.

Hmm, this actually fits in quite nicely with something I've been considering lately. There's a vegan health spa type place in Costa Rica that does ayahuasca treatments and I kinda wanna go there.

If you do, I totally want to hear about it. I've heard ayahuasca is a very intense near death experience, but I haven't tried it personally.

This is what has got me thinking about it:

Although I've been intrigued since I travelled around South America, but it was not the right time for me then.

OMG, that's amazing. I want to go on that ride.

Come with me! This is where she went. https://www.rythmia.com/ It's pretty expensive though so I need to think about when to do it.

I just entered to win a free trip!

Lol, I entered too. It's at least $2100 from what I could tell. I suppose the whole luxury spa aspect really capitalizes on the spiritual experience. Either way it's been on my to do list for a while, so I guess I better get my passport sorted.

Alright, if one of us wins, let's make a deal and go halvsies with the other. Then we can both go.

I believe I am getting a shamanic calling. I have always had a connection with nature and I have very vivid dreams that have all this spiritual meaning to them. I mostly see animals. But sometimes my dreams show me something before they happen. I am extremely sensitive and I am always helping others. I just don’t what to do now.

Check out that video @choogirl shared. It's certainly interesting.

I love all of this @clayboyn, the article, and Hanna's video was very helpful. Thanks to @choogirl for recommendation.

Innovative thinking sir.. i just love all of ur philosophical post tht u shared..i nevr heard this types of philosophy before.. Cn u tell u about this sir??☺
Thnxxx sir.👌

Great writing sir...👍 liked the concept.☺

I do feel I can relate to what has been said about Shamanism to a degree. One thing that intrigues me most about life is death. Since age 20 I developed obsessive thoughts about it and now 31 I’m just as aware. It makes me question what is the meaning of it all in the end? You can bring joy and healing to others yet that is their ultimate demise also. Not that this life doesn’t contain beauty and all, but you would like to think there is some ultimate meaning in the end.
