There is a lot truth in the fact that most new agers believing in the Law Of Attraction put a lot of focus on wealth and abundance shaping their own desires. So there is not much room for compassion to express itself in the end.

Negative and Positive are here to stay. In a sane society, each individual works on his/her inner fears and grow from them. In a Dystopian model the "powers that be" have understood that manipulating human desires while promising a suitable outcome, is what gets them elected. But in the big picture, behind the curtain, corruption continues ever further and unabated.
