Of course, pandemics and waves of chronic diseases will also greatly help further Dystopia.

More seriously, how many times have we heard that advanced technology would assist the medical field? Yes we do hear something, every now and then, that seems to reassure the public that something good is done with technology but nothing on a larger scale yet. Have you noticed?

What is diabolical here, yes and there is no other term, is that it is marketed as a technology that will give us superpowers and immortality. AI and bots will make sure our thoughts remain aligned with what is programmed by the Cloud.

Hackers improve too as fast as technology advances, so people connected to the Cloud will live under perpetual threats. It is plausible that the Cloud will shut down itself along with all it connections, when threat is deemed considerable enough. Like a switch, our minds will be turned on and off.
