Social Philosophy of Karl Marx

in #philosophy5 years ago

In Marx, everything seemed to be based on social philosophy.Marx was persecuted because of his belonging to the young Hegelianism, so he moved first to Paris and then to London where he met Engels. He is involved in journalism, politics and research.German classical philosophy (mainly Hegel with its constantly evolving dialectics), classical political economy (for social work, etc.) and French utopian nationalism are the three sources of Marx's ideas (so formulated and indicated by Lenin).

Marx is known for his negative attitude to philosophy. For him, philosophy is something abstract and distant from reality. And it aims to influence reality (change). Philosophy in all its history has dealt with the explanation of the world, but not with its change. Philosophy must be an instrument of change, improving reality. Philosophy should be a critique and a project of reality. The materialist conception of Marx's history is fundamental to his whole philosophy. The term "historical materialism" means the core of Marx's renewed philosophy. Historical materialism consists of the following:

According to Marx, society is not composed of individuals but expresses the sum of relationships (relations) between them. General relations are fundamental to the analysis of general reality. If someone wants to understand the story, he has to study the living conditions of people. According to Marx, society and history can not be understood through abstractions (Hegel) or ideas (Plato).Marx is an economically determinist. History is as it is because of economic factors. It is paramount that he attributes to productive relationships.

Social reality, society, is determined by its economic base.
"In the public production of their lives, people enter into certain necessary, independent of their will relations - productive, relations that correspond to a certain stage of the development of their material productive forces. The combination of these relations of production forms the economic structure, the real basis on which a legal and political superstructure rises and to which certain forms of the public consciousness meet. The mode of production of material life determines the process of social, political and spiritual life in general. Not the consciousness of men determines their existence, but rather their public existence defines their consciousness. "(Marx)
