---- Copious Thoughts - From Clayboyn's Coffee and Philosophy show Ep. 55 ----

We started this weeks show with a little bit of a chat on the positive moment for crypto, while we maintain that we do not give financial advice and are merely making commentary from our subjective perspectives, it does seem that the nose has lifted slightliy and we ar no longer scraping the bottom of that barrel anymore.... that being said lets not get our hopes too high as it may just lead to a greater fall from grace ;)

After this we tipped in on a post of mine entitled Everyone Isnt Your Friend which had been graced with a @curie vote, as well as support from @helpiecake AND i managed to snipe a @dramatoken as well, in addition to this i was met with some considerable support from the community and great conversation (and that's what we play for... well i do), so.... it seems everything is coming up Milhouse.

Coming Up Milhouse

This set the stage for the discussion on the show as we sunk our teeth into social interactions, expectations and outcomes. Identifying the existence of 'fake people' and the various ways we interact with them within our lives, naturally we had to throw in some anecdotal data to support the constructs we were defining.... i find it makes the constructs far more 'real' if we do this and not just something that 'works on paper'.

This led to some discussion on intimate partner relationships as the mental process is similar, i mean lets be real here... its all human interaction. Ultimately we choose what we will accept/tolerate etc. in any relationship and its up to us to define our boundaries. It all comes down to us to break free from the chains that bind and no one can save you but you.

We also hit the same marks on relationships with family members and the good old manipulation chest nut "im not angry... im just very disappointed". Again its a cut and paste of the aforementioned two areas of human interaction, it comes down to us to draw the lines in the sand, no matter who they are.

This line of commentary drew us towards gaining an understanding on how to be bale to "Call ourselves on our own bullshit" and this can be quite the conundrum. There is a fine line between having an open hones conversation with ones self and self deprecation, put downs, victim mentality etc. What the focus is here is trying to take responsibility for our own role in the situation, understanding it , and making an effort to apply interventions in the future.

Demons

We wrapped up with a discussion on the stigma surrounding mental health and the difficulties which come with trying to attain appropriate medical attention. Not only do people have to battle those around them (friends,family, partner, work, etc.) who may consider mental health issues to mean 'you are crazy', but the medical field in itself often lacks the understanding and importance of mental health. This can lead to many people left untreated, being turned away because they 'dont have a legitimate health issue'.
